RENO: A London Screening and Cast Q&A

Last week, we welcomed guests to London’s Soho Hotel for an exclusive screening of RENO, followed by a cast Q&A. It was a great opportunity to connect with creatives across the industry and share the film in an intimate setting.

For some of the cast and crew, it was their first time seeing the film on the big screen - and, for some, meeting their on-screen counterparts in person.

Following an introduction from director Rob Hifle on how the film came about, the evening continued with a conversation between Rob, writer Abiola Ogunbiyi and actors Sophia Brown (Dr Imani Njeri) and Amanda Collin (RENO).

Hosted by Forty Minutes With’s Dominic Danson, the discussion offered insights into the filmmaking process and the unique challenges of making a sci-fi short on a virtual production volume. From world-building and carrying a character’s journey across two years of story time in just 24 minutes, to the spontaneous moments on set that take a story beyond the previs, there were lots of takeaways to think about.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us. It was fabulous to share the film with familiar faces, new connections and - of course - the talented cast and crew who so brilliantly helped bring RENO to life.
