Lux Aeterna is an independent VFX and creative studio based in Bristol, UK, working with clients around the world.
Our studio is at Finzel’s Reach in central Bristol, close to the BBC and a 10-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station, with direct rail connections to London and other major UK cities.

We provide visual effects, design and creative technology for film, television, documentary, unscripted, immersive experiences and live productions.
Our capabilities include compositing, CG, motion graphics, animation, motion capture, virtual production and on-set VFX supervision, through to full-sequence delivery. Our dedicated motion design team creates design treatments and title sequences, while our creative technology specialists explore new tools and techniques to solve complex production challenges.

As a multi award-winning UK VFX studio, we’ve worked with some of the biggest global names in film and TV, including BBC, Netflix, Disney and Apple TV. We also invest in creative R&D, exploring emerging production technologies and new approaches to visual storytelling through both client work and our own original productions.

Yes. We work with production companies, broadcasters and other partners around the world. With an established pipeline and shot management workflow, we can deliver fast turnarounds and close collaboration across every stage of production, wherever you're based.
As a UK VFX studio, we can also support eligible productions looking to take advantage of the UK's enhanced VFX tax incentives (AVEC) for qualifying work. You can find out more about this in our blog.

Yes. Original production is an important part of our creative and technical R&D.
In 2026, we premiered our short film RENO, a high-concept sci-fi drama combining cinematic storytelling with research-led innovation. Rob Hifle - Lux Aeterna’s founder and creative director - received a Royal Television Society award for his short film The Kismet Bureau. 
We also collaborate with broadcasters and partners on original productions, such as A Very Special Delivery for the BBC, directed by Rob to mark Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday.

We use previsualisation and other creative development tools to help clients understand proposed VFX before production and make informed decisions about scope, approach and delivery.

We build a dedicated team around each project, bringing together producers, production coordinators, supervisors, artists and other specialists according to its creative and technical requirements.
Your Lux Aeterna team works closely with you throughout the project, managing communication, reviews and feedback while keeping production on track. Our in-house talent is supported by a trusted network of specialist artists when additional scale or expertise is required.

Our data management policies and procedures are reviewed regularly to be in line with MPA TPN guidelines. We use the latest cutting-edge security hardware and software to prevent unauthorised access, and we carry out third party testing regularly to ensure those standards are maintained. Data is stored in an encrypted state with multiple levels of failure redundancy.
