The Conspiracy - Assassination in Beirut

On the 14th February 2005 Rafic Hariri, the Lebanese Prime Minister, was assassinated in Beirut, initiating a chain of events that led to the withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon after 29 years.

After 15 years with no convictions for Hariri’s assassination two Metropolitan Police Inspectors started an investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice. The Conspiracy: Assassination in Beirut follows this fascinating story of the self made man who transformed a nation and the uncertainty that clouded his death.

Lux Aeterna’s task was to create motion graphics displaying key evidence and highlighting the progression of the investigation. VFX, graphic design, 2D animation and 3D lights were utilised, featuring a film noir aesthetic, matching the often low resolution images of evidence provided, aiding the sense of darkness that pervades throughout the show.
