How did the union of the United Kingdom come to be?

This is what David Olusoga sets out to explore in this BBC Two series uncovering the history, politics and circumstances that led to a prolific alliance.

We completed GFX and motion graphics for the four part series while also enhancing historical maps and archival imagery. By utilising a clear visual narrative, the key graphical elements of the series were thematically woven together as a reference to the construction of the union flag.
