The Manhattan Alien Abduction

Exploring an alleged alien abduction in 1980s Manhattan.

We worked closely with directors Dan Vernon and Vivienne Parry to bring high-end VFX to the intriguing story of Linda Napolitano’s claimed abduction, creating a retro aesthetic perfectly suited to the ‘80s setting of this Netflix documentary.

We provided on-set supervision at Black Island Studios for the key moment where Linda levitates above the Manhattan skyline towards the UFO, overseeing shoot set-up, lighting and camera position. The result is a dream-like sequence that leans into the sci-fi classics of the era, and creates a cinematic moment filled with suspense.

We also designed and built the alien spaceship Linda is taken into, crafting a vessel infused with ‘80s futurism that is also faithful to eye-witness accounts.
